I completed another pattern test for Goober Pea Designs. This time, it was a pattern for the Reverie Dress. Once again, I made the garment for my littlest model using the size 6-12 months. I am really loving how this dress came out and planning another one in some stretch velvet I have on hand for my older gal. It really is such an elegant-looking dress.

ABOUT GOOBER PEA DESIGNS’ REVERIE DRESS

The Reverie Dress has a fully-lined bodice. It has gathered straps and a gathered skirt. The dress comes with three length-options: Knee-length, tea-length, and maxi-length. It comes in sizes 6-12 months, 12-18 months up to a size 14 youth. The dress pattern was formerly the Little Daydream by George and Ginger. It has an optional decorative waistband (I made mine knee-length without the waistband).

What I like about this design is that it’s a quick sew that really shows off the fabric that you choose. It can be as casual or elegant as you want (hence why i’m going to be making one for my older gal’s 5th birthday dress in a stretch velvet with a lace overlay on the skirt).

ABOUT THE FABRIC

The main fabric I used is from Mabel Madison. I got it out of their Facebook group. At the time I bought it, the fabric was only listed in the Facebook group here. It’s from Stenzo, a European fabric company. The fabric is 95% cotton, 5% Lycra DIGITAL print jersey from Stenzo, with their signature super-incredible soft finish. 195-200 gsm (about 6 oz/sq yard). 150cm width. 2-way 50+% stretch. The yellow fabric is cotton Lycra I got from Peekaboo Patterns.
