We welcome guest contributors who have something authentic and useful to share with our audience. Guest posting is a great way to reach engaged readers, showcase your expertise, and build your own platform.

Before you pitch: Read our blog. Understand our voice. Know our audience. Generic pitches that clearly haven’t read our content get declined immediately.

What We’re Looking For

Well-Caffeinated Mom covers parenting, homeschooling, coffee culture, food and drink, hobbies, outdoor activities, games, home life, and authentic mom experiences. We’re especially interested in:

  • Real talk about parenting (not Instagram-perfect nonsense)
  • Secular homeschooling strategies and curriculum reviews
  • LGBTQ+ family experiences and inclusive parenting
  • Coffee, mocktails, food, and kitchen adventures
  • Board games, video games, and family gaming
  • Outdoor activities, camping, and hiking with kids
  • Sustainable living and eco-friendly parenting
  • Hobbies, crafts, and creative pursuits
  • Home organization, cleaning, and domestic life (the real version, not the Pinterest version)

We especially welcome diverse voices and perspectives, particularly from writers in traditionally marginalized communities, including Black, Indigenous, Latine, AAPI, LGBTQ+, disabled, and neurodivergent contributors.

What We Do NOT Accept

  • Thinly veiled advertisements or promotional content — If you want to promote a product, see our Advertising Policy for sponsored post opportunities.
  • Content that contradicts medical or scientific consensus — No anti-vaccine content, pseudoscience, or misinformation.
  • AI-generated, poorly written, or generic content — We can tell when ChatGPT wrote your post. If you’re not willing to put in the effort to write something genuine and well-crafted, we’re not interested.
  • Overtly religious or proselytizing content — We maintain a secular approach.
  • Discriminatory content — We support LGBTQ+ families and won’t publish content that doesn’t.
  • Posts about CBD, cannabis, smoking, gambling, or drug use
  • Spam, offensive content, pornography, or graphic violence
  • Previously published content — All posts must be original and not appear elsewhere online

Submission Guidelines

Length: 500-750 words preferred. Minimum 300 words. Break longer posts into sections with subheadings.

Links: One link to your site/blog in your byline. Additional links only if directly relevant to the topic. No affiliate links.

Images: Optional but encouraged. Submit as .jpg or .png files. You must have permission to use any image you submit, and proper attribution is required. We may replace images that don’t work with the post, are of poor quality, or contradict our values.

Originality: All posts must be original work. By submitting, you confirm the writing is yours and grant Well-Caffeinated Mom permission to publish it. You’ll be credited as the author.

Your Byline

You may include a byline (author bio) of up to 150 words with one link to your website or blog. You’re also invited to submit a headshot or author photo. All links are subject to editorial review.

Editorial Review Process

All submissions are edited for grammar, spelling, clarity, and flow. We won’t rewrite your piece, but we will make changes to improve readability. This may include title changes, photo swaps, and structural edits.

If a post needs significant improvement, we’ll return it with suggestions. Don’t take it personally — we want your piece to succeed. We reserve the right to decline posts that don’t meet our standards.

We may add internal links to other Well Caffeinated Mom posts or to other blogs in our network where relevant.

Do You Pay for Guest Posts?

Not currently. Guest posting is an opportunity for exposure, backlinks, and showcasing your expertise to our engaged audience. This may change in the future for regular contributors.

Publication Timeline

Publication happens at our discretion and may take several days (or longer) after approval, especially in times when a backlog has accumulated. We reserve the right to decline publication or to remove posts after publication if circumstances change.

How to Submit

1. Pitch First

Email contribute@wellcaffeinatedmom.com with your pitch. Include:

  • Proposed topic and angle
  • Why it’s a good fit for our audience
  • A brief bio and link to your website/blog (if applicable)
  • Writing samples or links to previous work

2. Wait for a Response

We review pitches weekly. If we’re interested, we’ll ask for the full post. We receive many inquiries, so if you don’t hear from us within 7-10 days, assume we’re passing on this one.

3. Submit Your Post

If we request the full piece, send it as a Word doc or Google Doc with your byline, any images, and image attribution.
