Fish and Bertagna’s Sangiovese Rose

Ronda Bowen, August 8, 2012

Bertagna’s Sangiovese Rose

A couple months ago, we visited the Bertagna Son Kissed Vineyards. We were quite taken with a few of their wines – one of them being the unique Sangiovese Rose, which almost had a sparkling quality to it.

So, we had this wonderful wine hanging out in our cellar for a bit. When it came time to select what might pair well with the fish I was making tonight, after careful reflection, this wonderful, robust wine came out. While traditionally, rosé wines are served chilled, we enjoyed this bottle at room temperature. It was a very nice accompaniment to a very nice meal.

What wines do you like to pair with your fish dishes? Leave your comments and suggestions in the comments section.
