For many of us, any cause for celebration is a good reason to pop open a great champagne. Regardless of your budget, you can find an excellent champagne with tons of flavor. And of course, your guests will go giddy for that “pop!” of a fresh bottle!

Cocktails

Picking out great cocktails to serve at your housewarming party can be daunting. Your guests probably all have their own unique tastes, so cocktails are rarely one-size-fits-all.

If you don’t already have a fully-stocked bar (and since you just moved, that’s a fair assumption!), pick up some simple mixers and popular liquors at your local liquor retailer. Make sure you have the supplies for some standard favorites, like Gin and Tonic or Rum and Coke.

Take it to the next level and try creating your own house drink. Get creative and make your own recipe, or find some ideas online. Use colored sugar, syrups, or food coloring to make your drink match your decor. And make sure to give your new drink a fitting name!

Wine

There’s no occasion that can’t be improved with a nice wine to sip on. The great thing about serving wine at your housewarming party is that you can incorporate flavors into everything you serve!

Try cooking an Italian dinner and add red wine to your tomato sauce, or add white wine to a lighter dish. For dessert, try out a recipe for a sweet wine-infused treat, like a Chocolate Red Wine cake!

Celebrating with wine adds a level of sophistication to your housewarming party that your guests are sure to appreciate. Just make sure to have a good variety of options. Not everyone loves savory, dark wines, so offer rosé, moscato, and any other wines that will suit a variety of tastes!

Drinks Are Better With Friends

Your friends and family are probably eager to visit your new home, and you’re probably eager to show it off! Buying a new home can often be a humbling experience that makes us feel extra grateful, especially when we can share it with those we care about.
